I finished drop #1 and haven’t written a single review. I thought it was gonna be easy to put together a couple of sentences about each mate brand. It wasn’t. I made a couple of attempts, and it occurred to me that I don’t know English well enough to express my sensations and impressions in style I wanted.
“There’s AI” one may say.
Yeah, but I’m already fed up with AI-generated content, and I wouldn’t be surprised if other folks are too. So I’m gonna try something else. Of course I can express exactly how I want in Polish, so I’m gonna write the reviews in Polish and try to translate them but without using words I don’t understand. Let’s see how it goes!
In the meantime, a new batch has just arrived. This time:
- Puntero Clasica — one of my fave yerba mates. I think it’s the sourest one I’ve found, and that’s exactly what draws me to it!
- Arroyo Verde Hierbas — usually, I drink mate with no additions, but it’s summertime and it’s hot. In weather like this, I sometimes enjoy more herbal, minty flavours.
- Canarias — a classic, strong mate recommended to me by an Argentinian friend. I choose this one when I feel like I need more power than usual.
- Mate Rojo Molienda Fina — similar to Puntero, I love the sourness of this one and keep ordering it. Usually I get the basic version. This time, I went for the limited Molienda Fina edition.
- Meta Mate 23 — this one’s special, and I usually order one with every batch. Its unusual, almost dessert-like taste keeps me coming back to it.
- Saltos del Mocona — I’m extremely curious about this one. Apparently, it has a salty twist. I can’t even imagine what that might taste like.
- Irupe — a regular mate; I’m just checking out a new brand.
- Buenas Santas — another one containing 11% herbs, especially for those heatwaves!
